EZ-Bar Incline Front Raise

Back on an incline bench, an EZ-bar raised from a hang to straight up; the angled grip spares the wrists.

How to do it

Setup

Back on an incline bench, EZ-bar hanging at arm's length, hands on the angled grips.

Steps

  1. Raise the bar with straight arms until it is over the face.
  2. Keep the shoulders and head pressed to the pad.
  3. Lower slowly to the hang, with no bounce at the bottom.

Common mistakes

Bouncing the bar out of the bottom: pause in the hang. Elbows bending as the bar climbs: straight arms, a lighter bar. Chest lifting off the pad to finish: back flat against it.

Breathing

Exhale on the raise, inhale lowering.
