Dumbbell Underhand Renegade Row
The renegade row with an underhand grip on the bells, palms facing forward, so each row pulls the elbow tight to the ribs.
How to do it
Setup
Plank on two dumbbells, the handles across the body gripped underhand, feet wide.
Steps
- Row one bell to the hip, the elbow brushing the ribs.
- Keep the hips square to the floor as the bell rises.
- Set it down softly and row the other side.
Common mistakes
Hips twisting open with each row: widen the feet and brace. Wrist bending back on the underhand grip: keep it straight over the handle. Dropping the bell to the floor: set it down so it cannot roll under the hand.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale lowering.
