Dumbbell Standing Wrist Reverse Curl

The standing palms-down wrist curl with a dumbbell in each hand in front of the thighs; the backs of the hands lift the bells a short way.

How to do it

Setup

Standing, a dumbbell in each hand in front of the thighs, knuckles forward, arms hanging long.

Steps

  1. Tip the knuckles up to raise the bells.
  2. Keep the arms straight throughout.
  3. Let the bells back down slowly.

Common mistakes

Picking the bells you use for curls: the extensors want much lighter ones. Shoulders creeping up as the forearms tire: pull them down. Elbows bending: lock them and shorten the set.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
