Cable Lying Cross Lateral Raise
The lying cross cable lateral raise on the floor: the pulleys at the bottom, both arms sweep from crossed over the belly out to a T, and the floor ends the arc.
How to do it
Setup
Face up on the floor, feet toward two low pulleys, hands crossed over the belly on the opposite cables.
Steps
- Sweep both arms out to the sides toward the floor into a T.
- Stop with the hands just above the floor, never resting there.
- Return the hands over the belly under control.
Common mistakes
Resting the hands on the floor at the T: stop just above it so the cables stay loaded. Arching off the floor to finish: ribs down, back flat. Letting the cables snap the arms back together: slow the return.
Breathing
Exhale opening the arms, inhale returning.
