Bottle Weighted Armpit Row
An upright row that keeps the jugs at the sides of the body, pulled straight up to the armpits with the elbows out.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, a jug in each hand hanging at the sides, palms facing the body.
Steps
- Pull the jugs straight up the sides, elbows leading out and up.
- Stop when the hands reach the armpits.
- Lower them along the sides with control.
Common mistakes
Jugs drifting in front of the body: that is the ordinary upright row; keep them at the sides. Shrugging the shoulders to the ears: let the elbows do the lifting. Swinging the torso: stand still and use lighter jugs.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale lowering.
