Kettlebell Upright Row
The upright row with one kettlebell gripped by the handle in both hands; the grip is narrow, so the bell stops at the chest.
How to do it
Setup
Wide stance, the kettlebell hanging at the hips from both hands on the handle, palms toward the body.
Steps
- Draw the bell up close to the body, elbows higher than the hands.
- Stop when the handle reaches the upper chest.
- Lower the bell along the body with control.
Common mistakes
Pulling the handle up to the chin: the narrow grip pinches the shoulders; stop at the chest. Bell swinging out in front: keep it close to the body all the way. Leaning back to lift it: stand tall; take a lighter bell.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale lowering.
