Bottle Weighted Upright Row
The upright row with a water jug in each hand; the bulky jugs keep the hands apart as they rise to the chest.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, a jug in each hand by its top handle, resting against the front of the thighs.
Steps
- Lift the jugs up the front of the body, elbows rising above the hands.
- Stop with the hands at chest height, elbows out to the sides.
- Lower the jugs to the thighs slowly.
Common mistakes
Heaving the jugs up with the hips: stand still; lighter jugs. Pulling the hands up to the chin: stop at the chest. Water sloshing the jugs off line: move slowly so they stay steady.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale lowering.
