Bar Band Standing Single-Arm Upright Row

The one-arm upright row against a band fixed to the vendor's bar laid under the feet; the elbow leads up to shoulder height.

How to do it

Setup

Standing on the bar of the band set, feet hip-width, the band's end in one hand in front of the thigh.

Steps

  1. Pull the hand up close to the body, the elbow leading to shoulder height.
  2. Keep the free hand on the hip and the shoulders level.
  3. Lower the hand to the thigh against the band.

Common mistakes

Hand rising above the elbow: the elbow leads and the hand follows below it. Pulling above shoulder height: stop there, before the shoulder pinches. Leaning away from the working side: stand tall on the bar with both feet.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale lowering.
