Burpee Squat

A squat with the arms forward into a crouch, the hands down and one foot stepping back into a lunge, then back up; a burpee with no plank or jump.

How to do it

Setup

Standing, feet shoulder-width, arms by the sides.

Steps

  1. Squat with the arms reaching forward, then place the hands on the floor.
  2. Step one foot back into a long lunge and bring it in again.
  3. Rise through the squat to standing; step back with the other leg next time.

Common mistakes

Rounding the back to reach the floor: bend the knees more and keep the chest up. Back knee slamming down: keep it off the floor. Springing up onto the toes: stand up through the whole foot.

Breathing

Inhale down, exhale up.
