Bodyweight Squatting Row (with Towel)
The squatting row holding the ends of a towel looped over a rung instead of the rung itself; the towel makes the grip work much harder.
How to do it
Setup
Squatting low facing the wall bars, a towel looped over a rung at chest height, an end in each hand, leaning back on long arms.
Steps
- Row the chest toward the bars, squeezing the towel ends hard.
- Finish with the elbows behind the body.
- Lean back to long arms slowly.
Common mistakes
Towel slipping on the rung: check that it is looped securely before each set. Hands sliding down the towel: grip higher and squeeze. Hips rising as you pull: stay low in the squat.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale returning.
