Band Wrist Curl

The palms-up wrist curl one arm at a time against a band pinned under the foot; the band pulls hardest at the top of the curl.

How to do it

Setup

Seated, forearm along the thigh, palm up, hand past the knee; band under the same foot.

Steps

  1. Pin the working forearm with the free hand.
  2. Curl the band up with the wrist as far as it goes.
  3. Let the hand sink back slowly against the pull.

Common mistakes

Too much slack in the band: a loose bottom wastes half the rep; shorten it. Forearm lifting off the thigh: the free hand keeps it down. Letting the band snap the hand back: resist it all the way.

Breathing

Exhale on the curl, inhale lowering.
