Band Alternate Low Row with Twist
In a half squat facing a low band anchor, row one end back to the hip while the torso turns toward it, then the other; the row and the turn come as one.
How to do it
Setup
Facing a low band anchor in a half squat, back flat, an end in each hand, arms long toward the anchor.
Steps
- Row one hand back to the hip, turning the chest toward that side.
- Reach it forward again as the other hand rows and the chest turns back.
- Stay in the half squat, hips still, for the whole set.
Common mistakes
Standing up out of the half squat: the legs hold one height. Rounding the back to reach the anchor: step closer and keep it flat. Letting the band pull the arm forward fast: reach slowly against it.
Breathing
Exhale on each row, inhale reaching forward.
