Wrist Roller

Arms out in front, wind the weight up on the cord and lower it back down; the burn comes on quickly.

Wrist Roller, illustrated

How to do it

Setup

Hold the roller at shoulder height, arms out front, weight hanging on the cord.

Steps

  1. Wind the weight all the way up, hand over hand.
  2. Lower it by unwinding under control – no free spin.
  3. Alternate winding direction between sets.

Common mistakes

Letting it spin down: the unwind is half the set. Shoulders burning out first: elbows can bend a little; this is for the wrists. Death-gripping: re-grip loose and fast.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
