Wide Push-Up (Wall)
The wall push-up with the hands set wider than the shoulders; the wide base moves more of the light push to the chest.
How to do it
Setup
Standing an arm's length from a wall, hands on it wider than the shoulders at chest height.
Steps
- Bend the elbows and bring the chest toward the wall between the hands.
- Keep the heels down and the body in one line.
- Push back to straight arms.
Common mistakes
Hands at head height: set them level with the chest. Poking the head toward the wall: the chest leads, the neck stays long. Hips folding: move as a single plank.
Breathing
Inhale toward the wall, exhale pushing away.
