Single-Arm Push-Up Supported Wall
The one-arm push-up done standing against a wall; the steep lean makes the single-arm press light enough to learn its line and its fight against the twist.
How to do it
Setup
Standing an arm's length from a wall, one hand on it at chest height, the other behind the back, feet wide.
Steps
- Bend the elbow and bring the chest toward the hand.
- Keep the hips and shoulders square to the wall.
- Push back to a straight arm; finish the set, then switch arms.
Common mistakes
Body turning toward the free side: wider feet and a braced trunk. Hand set above the shoulder: place it level with the chest. Standing so close it is too easy: step the feet back.
Breathing
Inhale toward the wall, exhale pushing away.
