Kneeling Rotational Push-Up
The kneeling push-up with a turn at the top: the chest and hips rotate toward one side with both hands still on the floor, then back, alternating sides.
How to do it
Setup
On the knees, feet raised, hands under the shoulders, body straight from head to knees.
Steps
- Lower the chest to just above the floor and press up.
- At the top, turn the chest and hips toward one side, hands staying down.
- Turn back to face the floor and rotate to the other side after the next rep.
Common mistakes
Turning from the neck only: the chest and hips rotate together. Knees sliding as the body turns: set them on a mat and move slowly. Rushing the turn: square up fully before the next push-up.
Breathing
Inhale lowering, exhale pressing and turning.
