Walkout Lat Stretch
Hands on a waist-high box, walk the feet back until the arms are long and the trunk leans in; the lats stretch, then walk back in.
How to do it
Setup
Standing close to a box about waist height, both hands flat on top, arms straight.
Steps
- Step back one foot at a time, letting the chest lower between the arms.
- Stop where the sides of the back stretch, hips over the heels.
- Walk back in to standing and repeat.
Common mistakes
Walking out too far: stop while the hands still press the box. Rounding the back hard: keep it long so the lats take the stretch. Shoulders hunched to the ears: let them slide away from the head.
Breathing
Steady with the steps.
