Vertical Mountain Climber
The mountain climber stood upright: drive one knee up as the opposite arm reaches overhead, then switch, like climbing a ladder on the spot.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, feet hip-width, one arm raised overhead.
Steps
- Drive one knee up to hip height as the opposite arm reaches high.
- Switch in a quick rhythm, the other knee and arm rising together.
- Stay tall and land softly on the balls of the feet.
Common mistakes
Same-side arm and knee: the arm opposite the knee reaches up. Knees stopping below the hips: drive them to hip height. Leaning back to lift the knee: tall torso, knee up to it.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
