High Knee Against Wall
Hands on a wall and the body leaning into it, drive the knees up in turn; the wall holds the lean so the drill is all about the knee drive.
How to do it
Setup
Facing a wall at arm's length, hands on it at shoulder height, body leaning in, one line from head to heel.
Steps
- Drive one knee up to hip height.
- Put that foot down under the hip as the other knee comes up.
- Keep the lean and the straight line from head to heel.
Common mistakes
Hips bending as the knee rises: the body stays one line. Pushing the wall away: the hands only steady the lean. Knees stopping below the hips: lift to hip height every time.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
