V-Up with Clap
The V-up finished with a clap at the top of each rep; reaching the clap asks for a full fold, not a half one.
How to do it
Setup
Lying long on your back, arms overhead, legs straight and together.
Steps
- Lift the legs and the torso together into a V.
- Clap the hands at the top, balanced on the hips.
- Lower both ends slowly back to lying long.
Common mistakes
Clapping early on the way up: reach the top first, then clap. Crashing back down: lower both ends under control. Knees bending to make the fold: keep the legs straight, or fold less.
Breathing
Exhale on the fold, inhale lowering.
