V-Up Down (With Stability Ball)

The V-up that passes a stability ball from the hands to the feet at the top, lowers with it between the feet, and brings it back on the next V.

How to do it

Setup

Lying on the back, legs long, a stability ball held overhead in both hands.

Steps

  1. Fold into a V and hand the ball to the feet.
  2. Lower with the ball squeezed between the ankles.
  3. Fold up again and take the ball back into the hands.

Common mistakes

Dropping the ball in the handover: squeeze it with the ankles before the hands let go. Lower back arching as the legs come down: stop them above the floor. Throwing the arms to sit up: fold with the abs.

Breathing

Exhale on the fold, inhale lowering.
