Sprinter Crunch
From lying flat, the upper body curls up as one knee drives to the chest and the opposite arm swings forward like a sprinter's.
How to do it
Setup
Lying flat on the back, legs long, arms by the sides with the elbows bent.
Steps
- Curl up while driving one knee to the chest.
- Swing the opposite arm forward past the knee.
- Lower all the way back flat and switch sides.
Common mistakes
Throwing the arms to get up: the curl starts from the abs. Stopping short of the floor on the way down: return flat each rep. Dropping the leg with a thud: lower it under control.
Breathing
Exhale on the crunch, inhale lowering.
