Twin Handle Parallel-Grip Lat Pulldown
The lat pulldown with a separate handle on each of two high pulleys, palms facing in, so each arm pulls down along its own path.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on a bench between two high pulleys, a handle in each hand, palms facing in, arms long overhead.
Steps
- Pull both handles down to the shoulders, elbows driving down beside the body.
- Squeeze the lats with the handles by the shoulders.
- Let the arms rise back to a long reach overhead.
Common mistakes
Handles drifting apart or together: keep the palms facing and each hand over its own shoulder. Leaning back to row the handles in: stay tall; this is a vertical pull. One arm finishing ahead of the other: pull the handles as a pair.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull, inhale returning.
