Band Kneeling Lat Pulldown

The band lat pulldown kneeling under a band anchored high on a rack, both handles pulled down to the shoulders.

How to do it

Setup

Kneeling under a band looped over a high bar, a handle in each hand, arms stretched up.

Steps

  1. Pull the handles down to the shoulders, the elbows driving toward the ribs.
  2. Hold a beat with the handles by the shoulders.
  3. Let the band draw the arms back up slowly.

Common mistakes

Leaning back to pull: stay upright on the knees; the lats pull. Shrugging the handles down: the shoulders drop first, then the elbows. Letting the band snap the arms up: control the return.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale resisting up.
