TRX One-Arm Chest Press

The TRX chest press on a single handle; with one arm working, the trunk has to stop the body twisting toward the free side.

How to do it

Setup

Facing away from the anchor, one handle at the chest, feet apart, body leaning forward in one line.

Steps

  1. Lower the chest toward the hand, elbow close to the ribs.
  2. Keep the shoulders and hips level, with no twist.
  3. Press back to a straight arm; switch arms after the set.

Common mistakes

Body rotating toward the free side: brace and keep the hips square. Leaning too far for one arm: step forward, away from the anchor, to lighten it. Shoulder shrugging as you lower: keep it down.

Breathing

Inhale as you lower, exhale on the press.
