TRX Hyperextension
A standing hip hinge holding the TRX handles; the straps steady the torso as the hips push back, then the hips drive it upright.
How to do it
Setup
Facing the anchor, feet hip-width, a handle in each hand, arms straight and the straps taut.
Steps
- Push the hips back and lower the chest, arms long toward the anchor.
- Keep the back flat and the knees soft.
- Drive the hips forward to stand tall, arms rising overhead.
Common mistakes
Rounding the back to go lower: stop where the back stays flat. Bending the knees into a squat: the hips go back and the shins stay nearly vertical. Leaning back at the top: finish tall with the ribs down.
Breathing
Inhale hinging, exhale standing.
