Triceps Stretch Against Wall

The bent arm's elbow rests high on a wall and the body leans in until the back of the upper arm and the side of the back stretch.

How to do it

Setup

Facing a wall, one arm bent overhead, hand on its own shoulder, the elbow on the wall.

Steps

  1. Stagger the feet and brace the middle.
  2. Lean the armpit toward the wall until the arm stretches.
  3. Hold and breathe, then switch arms.

Common mistakes

Arching the lower back to get closer: move from the shoulder, ribs down. Elbow sliding out to the side: keep it in line with the shoulder. Leaning in until the shoulder pinches: back off to a stretch.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
