Stability Ball Seated Triceps Stretch

The overhead triceps stretch seated on a stability ball, which asks the trunk to sit tall and balanced while the arm stretches.

How to do it

Setup

Seated on a stability ball, feet wide and flat, one arm reaching up.

Steps

  1. Bend the raised arm so the hand drops behind the neck.
  2. Press the elbow gently back with the other hand.
  3. Hold and breathe with the ball still, then switch arms.

Common mistakes

Feet close together: set them wide so the ball stays still. Rolling the ball to lean into the stretch: the trunk stays upright. Shrugging the raised shoulder: keep it down.

Breathing

Slow and even through the hold.
