Superman Row with Towel
Lying face down with the chest lifted, pull a taut towel from overhead down to the upper chest and reach it forward again; a floor pulldown that holds the back in extension.
How to do it
Setup
Face down, a towel held taut shoulder-width overhead, chest and arms lifted off the floor.
Steps
- Pull the towel down toward the upper chest, elbows driving to the ribs.
- Keep pulling the ends apart so the towel stays taut.
- Reach the towel forward again without letting the chest drop.
Common mistakes
Towel going slack: pull the ends apart the whole set. Chest touching down between reps: the lift is held throughout. Cranking the neck up: eyes on the floor, just ahead of the hands.
Breathing
Exhale pulling down, inhale returning.
