Standing Supinated Face Pull (With Towels)

A bodyweight face pull on two towels looped over a wall bar, palms up; leaning back further makes it harder.

How to do it

Setup

Two towels looped over a wall bar at head height, one in each hand, palms up, body leaning back in a straight line.

Steps

  1. Pull the body up to the towels, elbows high and wide.
  2. Finish upright with the fists beside the ears.
  3. Lower back to long arms, the body still one line.

Common mistakes

Hips folding as you lean back: brace so the body moves as one board. Elbows dropping to the ribs: that is a row; keep them high. Palms turning down as you rise: keep them up the whole way.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the way down.
