Stair Jump
A two-footed jump from the floor up onto a step of a staircase, landing in a squat; walk back down between reps.
How to do it
Setup
Facing a sturdy staircase, feet hip-width, a short step from the bottom stair.
Steps
- Dip and swing the arms back.
- Jump up onto a step you can land on softly.
- Land in a squat with whole feet on the stair, stand, and walk back down.
Common mistakes
Aiming too many steps up: pick the height you land quietly, then add. Toes hanging off the edge of the stair: land with the whole foot on it. Jumping back down the stairs: walk down.
Breathing
Exhale on the jump, inhale walking down.
