Staggered Leg Side Bridge

The straight-arm side plank with the feet staggered, the top foot in front of the bottom one, for a steadier base; held for time.

How to do it

Setup

Side-on, the bottom hand under the shoulder, legs straight, the top foot planted just in front of the bottom foot.

Steps

  1. Lift the hips until the body is one straight line.
  2. Hold and breathe; time it.
  3. Lower and switch sides.

Common mistakes

Hips sagging toward the floor: lift them back into the line. Hips drifting back behind the feet: push them forward until the body is straight. Shoulder sinking into the support arm: push the floor away.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
