Leg Bench Side Bridge
The straight-arm side plank with both feet raised on a bench and the top hand behind the head; the raised feet load the trunk harder.
How to do it
Setup
Side-on to a flat bench, the feet stacked on it, the bottom hand on the floor under the shoulder, the top hand behind the head.
Steps
- Lift the hips until the body is one straight line from the head to the feet.
- Hold and breathe; time it.
- Lower the hips to the floor and switch sides.
Common mistakes
Hips sagging toward the floor: lift them back into the line or end the set. Support hand drifting from under the shoulder: set it straight below before lifting. Top elbow pulling the head forward: the hand only rests there.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
