Stability Ball Rollout

The full ball rollout from the toes: in a plank with the forearms on the ball, roll it out until the arms reach long overhead, then pull it back with the abs.

How to do it

Setup

Plank on the toes, feet hip-width, forearms resting on top of the ball, body in one line.

Steps

  1. Roll the ball forward, sliding the arms out overhead.
  2. Keep the body in one line from the heels to the hands.
  3. Pull back to the forearm plank, the abs doing the pulling.

Common mistakes

Lower back dipping at full reach: roll out only as far as the plank holds. Hips piking up on the return: the body comes back as one plank. Knees touching down at the far point: stay on the toes and shorten the roll.

Breathing

Inhale rolling out, exhale pulling back.
