Single-Leg Lateral Hop
Hops side to side on one leg; each landing is caught on a bent knee before the next hop.
How to do it
Setup
On one leg, the other knee bent behind, arms loose for balance.
Steps
- Hop sideways off the standing leg.
- Land on the same foot, knee bent over the toes.
- Hop back the other way; switch legs after the set.
Common mistakes
Knee buckling inward when you hop toward the free leg's side: keep it over the middle toes. Hopping too wide: small hops you can stop. Rushing on from a wobbly landing: steady first, then hop.
Breathing
Exhale on each hop; steady rhythm.
