Jumping Jack High Knee
One jumping jack, then a knee driven to hip height; alternate the knee each round.
How to do it
Setup
Feet together and arms down, standing tall on the balls of the feet.
Steps
- Do one jumping jack, arms overhead and back down.
- Drive one knee up to hip height, the hands coming down beside it.
- Land soft and alternate the knee each round.
Common mistakes
Knees caving on the jack's landing: track them over the toes. Knee drive stopping low: hip height every time. Heavy landings: stay on the balls of the feet.
Breathing
Steady with the rhythm.
