Sideway Leg Bridge
A forearm plank in which one straight leg sweeps out to the side and back while the hips stay square to the floor.
How to do it
Setup
Forearm plank, elbows under the shoulders, body straight from head to heels, feet together.
Steps
- Lift one foot a little and sweep it out to the side.
- Bring it back beside the other without touching down hard.
- Alternate legs, hips level the whole time.
Common mistakes
Hips swaying toward the moving leg: brace the trunk and keep them square. Hips piking up: one line from head to heels. Leg swinging fast: a slow sweep out, a slow return.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
