Leg Extension Plank
The high plank with one straight leg at a time swept out to the side and back; the outer hip works while the trunk holds still.
How to do it
Setup
High plank, hands under the shoulders, feet hip-width.
Steps
- Lift one straight leg out to the side, toes forward.
- Bring it back beside the other and switch legs.
- Keep the hips level and the shoulders over the hands.
Common mistakes
Hips tilting toward the moving leg: lift only as high as the hips stay level. Bending the knee: keep the leg long. Shoulders drifting behind the hands: stack them over the wrists.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
