Side Shuffle High Knee
High knees that travel sideways a few steps and back; the knees keep coming up to hip height while you move.
How to do it
Setup
Standing tall, feet hip-width, arms bent and ready to pump.
Steps
- Run in place with the knees driving to hip height.
- Drift sideways a few steps without losing the knee height.
- Travel back the other way on the balls of the feet.
Common mistakes
Knees dropping as you travel: height first, then distance. Crossing the feet to move sideways: they stay under the hips. Torso tipping back as the knees rise: keep the chest over the hips.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
