Hopping High Knee Tap
The high knee tap with a small hop on the standing foot each time the knee rises; quicker and springier.
How to do it
Setup
On the balls of the feet, palms flat in front of the hips.
Steps
- Hop on one foot as the other knee rises to the palm.
- Land soft and switch legs with the next hop.
- Keep the hops low and the rhythm quick.
Common mistakes
Landing flat on the heel: spring off the ball of the foot. Palms chasing the knees down: hold them level. Hops growing high: the height belongs to the knee, not the hop.
Breathing
Fast steady rhythm.
