Side Plank Pull
A side plank on a straight arm in which the top arm threads under the body, then pulls back until the hand rests on the top hip.
How to do it
Setup
Side plank on a straight arm, the hand under the shoulder, feet stacked, the top hand on the hip.
Steps
- Thread the top hand under the chest toward the far side.
- Pull it back through, opening the chest to the side.
- Rest the hand on the hip and repeat for the time.
Common mistakes
Hips sinking as the arm threads under: keep them lifted. Twisting from the hips: the turn is in the upper back. Supporting shoulder sagging: push the floor away.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
