Push Through Reach
On all fours, one arm sweeps up toward the ceiling to open the chest, then threads under the body to the far side; the upper back turns both ways.
How to do it
Setup
On hands and knees, hands under the shoulders, knees hip-width, back flat.
Steps
- Sweep one arm up toward the ceiling, turning the chest open.
- Bring it down and thread it under the body toward the far side.
- Keep flowing between the two, then switch arms.
Common mistakes
Hips swaying side to side: keep them over the knees; the upper back turns. Collapsing onto the supporting arm: push the floor away. Rushing the reach: move slowly and follow the hand with the eyes.
Breathing
Inhale reaching up, exhale threading through.
