Side Floor Tap Plank
A side plank on a straight arm in which the top hand sweeps under the body to tap the floor, then reaches back up to the ceiling.
How to do it
Setup
Side plank on a straight arm, hand under the shoulder, feet together, top arm pointing at the ceiling.
Steps
- Sweep the top hand down and under the chest to tap the floor.
- Let the chest turn toward the floor, hips staying high.
- Reach the arm back up to the ceiling.
Common mistakes
Hips dropping on the tap: keep them lifted the whole time. Supporting hand too far from the shoulder: set it right under it. Rushing the sweep: move at a pace the shoulder controls.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
