Side Plank Leg Lift
A side plank on the straight arm, the top hand on the hip, with the top leg raised and lowered while the hips hold their height.
How to do it
Setup
Side plank on the straight bottom arm, hand under the shoulder, legs straight and stacked, top hand on the hip.
Steps
- Lift the top leg straight up, the toes pointing forward.
- Bring it down until it hovers just above the bottom leg.
- Repeat for the set with the hips held high, then switch sides.
Common mistakes
Resting the top leg on the bottom one between lifts: keep it hovering. Rolling the top hip back to lift higher: stay stacked; a lower lift is fine. Bottom hand drifting from under the shoulder: set it straight below first.
Breathing
Exhale on the lift, inhale lowering.
