Seated Single-Leg Foot Side to Side
Seated on the floor with the legs straight, turn one foot in and out, the sole facing in and then out, while the leg stays still.
How to do it
Setup
Seated on the floor, leaning back on the hands, legs straight, heels resting on the floor.
Steps
- Turn one foot in, the sole facing the other leg.
- Turn it out as far as it goes, the sole facing away.
- Keep the knee and the thigh still; switch feet after the set.
Common mistakes
Rolling the whole leg: only the foot turns; the kneecap points up. Rushing the turns: move slowly through the full range. Pointing the toes at the same time: keep the ankle at a right angle.
Breathing
Steady throughout; never held.
