Roll Ball Infraspinatus

Standing with a massage ball pinned between the wall and the back of the shoulder blade, small knee bends roll it over the infraspinatus.

How to do it

Setup

Back to a wall, the ball between the wall and the flat of one shoulder blade, feet a step out from the wall.

Steps

  1. Bend and straighten the knees a little to roll the ball over the shoulder blade.
  2. Bring the working arm across the chest to open the spot further.
  3. Pause on a tender point and breathe until it eases, then switch sides.

Common mistakes

Ball on the spine: keep it on the flat of the shoulder blade. Pressing hard from the first pass: build the pressure slowly. Rolling into a sharp or tingling pain: move off the spot.

Breathing

Steady throughout; never held.
