Reverse Lunge to Step-Up with Knee Drive
Facing a knee-height box: step back into a reverse lunge, come up, step onto the box with the same front foot and drive the trailing knee up; step down and repeat on that leg.

How to do it
Setup
Stand tall facing a knee-height box, feet hip-width, hands free or at the chest.
Steps
- Step BACK into a lunge, rear knee toward the floor.
- Drive up through the front foot and step onto the box with it.
- On top, drive the trailing knee up as high as it goes without touching the box.
- Step down under control and repeat on the same leg; switch after the set.
Common mistakes
Pushing off the box with the trailing foot: it never lands there; the front leg does the work. Rushing the knee drive: pause tall on top. Torso pitching forward on the step-up: chest tall, hips under the shoulders.
Breathing
Inhale stepping back, exhale driving up onto the box.
