Resistance Band Side Lying Hip Abduction

The side-lying straight-leg raise against a looped band above the knees, which keeps the top glute working at the bottom too.

How to do it

Setup

Lying on one side, head on the lower arm, legs straight and stacked, a looped band above the knees.

Steps

  1. Lift the top leg against the band, toes pointing forward.
  2. Pause at the top without rolling the hips back.
  3. Lower slowly, keeping the band taut; switch sides after the set.

Common mistakes

Hips rolling back to lift higher: keep them stacked. Toes turning up to the ceiling: the foot points forward. Band sliding to the knees: set it above them.

Breathing

Exhale lifting, inhale lowering.
