Resistance Band Seated Straight Back Row
Seated upright against a backrest with a band looped around the feet, row the ends to the waist; the backrest keeps the back straight and still.
How to do it
Setup
Seated upright with the back against the pad, legs out in front, the band around the feet, the ends in both hands, arms long.
Steps
- Row the ends to the waist, elbows along the body.
- Squeeze the shoulder blades together without leaving the backrest.
- Let the arms go long again slowly.
Common mistakes
Leaning away from the backrest to stretch the band: stay against it. Band slipping off the feet: loop it around the middle of the soles. Shrugging as you row: shoulders down.
Breathing
Exhale on the row, inhale returning.
