Resistance Band Inverted Row

The inverted row with a loop band stretched over the hips and anchored low on both sides; the band pulls the body down, and pulls hardest at the top.

How to do it

Setup

Under a bar at arm's reach, a loop band across the hips hooked low on both sides, heels on the floor, body straight.

Steps

  1. Pull the chest to the bar against the band.
  2. Hold the top for a beat, blades squeezed.
  3. Lower slowly, keeping the hips from dropping.

Common mistakes

Band slipping down the thighs: seat it on the front of the hips. Hips sagging under the band: brace the abs and squeeze the glutes. Rushing the lowering: the band speeds the drop; control it.

Breathing

Exhale on the pull, inhale on the way down.
